Josiah's Mayo Clinic Trip to MN

Josiah has multiple upcoming appointments at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota the week of June 24th(very soon) For the past 4 months he has been passing kidney stones/bladder sediment pretty much on the daily that are excruciating for him and very scary(sometimes there are more stones than urine and that wipes him out for days) We found out today that insurance will not cover all medical expenses only a certain percent and his secondary insurance(Medicaid) is not valid in Minnesota. I'm guessing our deposit to be seen for what they consider self pay will be $2,500 to start after speaking with a patient care advocate today and finding out Mayo is out of network for the policy. They usually ask for the full $5,000 but said they could take half given the circumstances and urgency of his visit. Hotel costs alone will be somewhere around $1,400 for a 7 night stay(we were hoping to be able to stay at RMH(Ronald McDonald House) but they are averaging a 10-12 night wait list from when we arrive in MN, so that is a no go unfortunately) His medical and travel expenses are far from what we had planned or can afford but we need to get this sweet guy of ours comfortably to his appointments and hopefully get him some relief and find a solution to all this pain.
