Joshua Coleman Vs Senator Richard Pan:
On March 1, 2017, Joshua Coleman was confronted by Senator Pan. The police concluded in their incident report that Senator Pan's actions met the criteria of "battery", which was supported byJoshua's video evidence, Security footage (yet to be released to the public) and witness testimony. However, Senator Pan was not charged for the crime he committed. Instead, Joshua Coleman was charged with two misdemeanor counts of "eavesdropping", alleging that his live broadcast via periscope of a constituent asking a staffer a question from the office of a public servant in a public building (the CA Capitol) was not legal.
We are coming together to support one of the bravest individuals in our movement. Joshua Coleman has been at the forefront of the fight for medical freedom with journalism that attempts to hold accountable those who are removing our parental and medical rights. In a sign of his effectiveness, Joshua is wrongly facing charges for alleged eavesdropping during a visit to Senator Pan's office at the California State Capitol. An offer was extended to Joshua in court with the condition that he “stay away” from Senator Richard Pan. Joshua justifiably declined as he has exercised his right to free speech and journalism with integrity when aiming to get answers from Senator Pan. Those questions have gone unanswered and this legal circus is simply an attempt to keep those hard hitting questions at bay. He will not back down, WE will not back down.
As Joshua fights for all of us, we would never expect him to take on the financial burden on his own. Going up against a State Senator is not cheap. The money raised from this campaign will be going to Joshua in order to help with this case - past, present and future. Everyone in California - and even around the world - should have Joshua's back in this lawsuit! If this case can keep moving, then we can push to put Pan on the stand! Trials are always open to the Public.
It is SO important that you all know Joshua Coleman has not asked for a single penny from any of us. He has not asked for a GoFundMe to be started. Josh is a great friend to me and to many of you. With all that being said, we are asking you to ONLY donate what you are comfortable with. Sharing this campaign is just as helpful and so appreciated! The more people know about this, the better chance we ALL have of beating Senator Pan at his own game.
