My name is Sandra Lemus from Pacoima, California. I am the mother of a sweet and caring boy named Joshua.
Joshua suffered severe injuries especially to his leg after being struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk on his way home from school on May 15, 2018. He was accompanied by his grandfather who suffered minor injuries as he attempted to keep Joshua from being stuck. The driver who is responsible for the accident fled the scene.
Joshua has endured surgeries and is still undergoing medical treatment. The medical team made every attempt to save his leg but were unsuccessful due to the severity of the damage. Joshua lost his leg and will need a prosthesis and therapy.
We are asking for your financial support as medical expenses add up quickly and time off from work to care for Joshua is causing a financial burden.
The donations collected will be used to alleviate the financial responsibilities that come from Joshua's medical treatment and will also be used for his physical therapy.
