Life is full of so many surprising and unexpected challenges and the loss of a loved one falls into this category. I know all of us will leave this earth one day but nothing can ever prepare a mother to receive the loss of her child.
On Wed., November 26, 2014, my son, Joseph Johnnie Petit, went home to live with his Heavenly Father, and I was faced with this most painful and heartbreaking situation. I have never known such pain in my life. I've been through some rather difficult times but nothing can ever ever compare to this.
Many say “he's in a better place”, and I know this is true and others say, he's not in any more pain, and yes, this is true also. While those words are fact, (for me), they don't lessen the pain that grips my heart.
Joseph loved God and God's people! In his quest to serve YeHoVaH, he willingly and joyfully made many adjustments in his life and never once complained about the changes. He did his best to obey the scriptures with fervency and a passion that exemplified his love for YaH.
During his membership at Gideon Christian Fellowship in New Orleans, he served within the Market Place, Men’s, & Music/Sound Ministries. He touched many as he skillfully played the violin under the anointing of Holy Spirit.
Joseph has served as a Founding Board Member of Kingdom Living Ministries; Business & Personal Advising (Consultant) & Nutritional Health Research Specialist as well as a Computer Network Specialist.
This is a most difficult time for me and I welcome your prayers, love and support to our family. There is an URGENT financial need and therefore, I humbly ask for your help. We are accepting donations of any size to assist in the preparation of Joseph's Homegoing Service. Please know that all donations are needed and will be greatly, greatly appreciated. I'm asking for your help as soon as possible. Thank you so very much!
