Dear Family, Friends & Sorors:
We are pleased to announce that our legacy princess, Jordyn Simone, is a contestant in the 2018 “Launching Pearls of Wisdom” Little Miss Ivy Pageant, sponsored by the Omicron Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated which will take place on Saturday, May 19, 2018.
The Little Miss Ivy Pageant is a bi-annual event that raises funds for the community and provides scholarships for local students. Pageant members will raise funds for scholarship through ticket sales, solicitation of ads for the souvenir booklet, and patron donations. All funds raised will count towards determining who will be crowned Little Miss Ivy. The funds that are raised will be used for scholarship for students in the Anne Arundel County community.
Jordyn Simone is an amazing 11 year-old and rising 5th grader at Richard Henry Lee Elementary School in Glen Burnie, Maryland and has been accepted to the STEM Magnet Program for Middle School. She enjoys gymnastics, dancing, reading, arts & crafts, and playing softball. Jordyn has an outgoing charismatic spirit and genuinely cares about helping others. She is most often described by her family and friends as joyous, talented, smart, kind-hearted, caring and thoughtful.
As a contestant, Jordyn will participate in various community service projects, workshops, and cultural activities designed to build character, self-esteem, and leadership skills while giving her an exciting opportunity to bond with other young ladies and build lasting friendships.
We are soliciting your support of Jordyn’s pageant participation and your assistance to help her secure the crown with your financial donation which will go toward the purchase of an ad in the souvenir program.
