Help Jordan get his smile back!

Update:
Currently I am working with insurance and although they won’t give me specifics it appears as though a good chunk of my procedures will be covered. I will be responsible for a minimum of several thousand dollars so all the money donated will surely go to good use! I want to hold off advertising my campaign until I get more specifics on how much of the bill I will be responsible for. Thank you so much for all the help and I love you all :)

About Me:
Hello! My name is Jordan Donohue. I'm a 26 year old guy who just started his Ph.D  in Neuroscience at the University of California, Riverside. As a Ph.D student I am hoping to make discoveries regarding the role that the support cells in our brain play in the stress response, and translate the findings to something that can help people on a daily basis to reduce the negative effects of stress. These types of cells (glial) greatly outnumber the neurons but have hardly been researched!!

The Cause:
Unfortunately, I was in a terrible bicycle accident recently where my front wheel fell off as I was going downhill through campus, and I hit the cement face first a couple times. Fortunately the medical insurance provided by the university I work for was fantastic, but the dental benefits proved to be very minimal, only covering up to $1000 a year in dental work. Because I lost my two teeth front teeth completely in the accident, and need major repairs on an adjacent one, the projected dental bills I face are climbing up to around $14,000 now. My university does not allow its Ph.D students to take a second job, so without some help from supporters, I will be facing a huge amount of debt.

The deets:

As I hit the cement, my two front teeth went completely through my upper lip,  and I sustained a severe concussion and broken cheek bone. Fortunately my lip was easily stitched together, and the severe short term memory loss that the concussion caused has improved. The fracture in my cheekbone should be able to heal okay on its own, but treating the damage to my teeth has proved to be more of a challenge. If I am able to afford the implants that I need (so I won't be known as "The Toothless Professor"), the entire process will take around 7-12 months.  Thanks for reading, and always remember, "You don't have to brush all your teeth, just the ones you want to keep.
