Join Jonathan's journey to NYU!

Donation protected
Hey, I’m Jonathan and I was recently selected to attend NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, in New York City this summer. The process is highly selective… thousands apply and only 48 were chosen to attend their New Studio Music Theatre program.

This is NOT a summer camp!

In fact I will be earning 6 college credits through intense conservatory training that encompasses a highly structured class schedule, projects, professional training, and collaboration. The classes are based on the Tisch undergraduate curriculum. I will live in an NYU residence hall and attend classes on their campus. I feel up to this challenge and believe God has opened the door for this amazing opportunity!

Greatest challenge…
The program costs over $10,000 (not including plane tickets and incidentals). I am currently working to raise money, but the deadlines are approaching, so I could really use your help!!!

I understand that not everyone is able to give, but you CAN pray for me, that the support will come in and that I can clearly see the path God has laid out before me.

If you CAN donate I would greatly appreciate it…
whether it’s $10 or $100.  ANY amount is great!
For those who support me with a gift of $50 or more, I would like to give you a little something in return…

With your gift of $50 or more, I'd like to send you an NYU T-shirt!

[Just be sure to send a message to me with your t-shirt size, color preference (Eggplant or Grey) and your mailing address.]

My hope is that you, will be reminded to pray for me this summer. Please pray specifically for growth, strength, endurance, protection and support as I embark on an experience of a lifetime. I believe God has placed me on this path. I pray that I can live a life that honors him and shines a light for all to see.

Please consider helping me reach my goal ANY amount, will bring me closer. Thank you in advance for your consideration!

With great appreciation and anticipation-
Jonathan

BTW- If you have suggestions on ways I can raise funds, I welcome your ideas. I have a short amount of time to get my “act” together and confirm my spot!

Thank you for taking time to read this, I am grateful for your interest.

ABOUT ME
I’ve been working consistently as an actor since the age of 9; oftentimes having the opportunity to work with professionals that are the very best in the industry. Through the years the theatre has been my outlet and the stage my home. This a place where I can escape reality and become something else. People often ask me, what my favorite thing is about acting. If I had to choose, it’s most likely the first moment when I walk on stage. It may be the same show but it’s always a different audience to experience the moment with. I am passionate about this industry and look forward to what lies ahead.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Hone your craft by training with master faculty who will help you develop as a professional theatre artist.

The Summer High School Program is a condensed version of the professional training in the undergraduate Drama program, where the emphasis is on the process, not the product. You’ll be challenged to learn and grow as artists, see some of Broadway’s amazing shows, and have access to the incomparable theatrical resources of New York City.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Each week you will have 28 hours of conservatory training in either the Experimental Theatre Wing, the Meisner Studio, the New Studio on Broadway, the Stonestreet Screen Acting Studios, or in the Production and Design Studio. You will also take a weekly Introduction to New York Theatre seminar with professional actors, directors, designers, stage managers, and faculty as guests. There are two opportunities to showcase your work: a performance for faculty and students, and an open-class day where your family and friends can attend.

Note: The Tisch Summer High School Program is not a leisure camp. While the average program runs daily, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, including academic classes, professional training, and/or studio and production time, students will often be just as busy in the evenings and weekends which also include curricular events and opportunities to work individually or collaborate with peers on assigned projects.

Tisch programs for high school students are a way for you to develop your talents and explore the possibilities of a career in the arts. The rigorous, professional training you receive in New York City is an outgrowth of the undergraduate programs, offering you an immersive experience in emerging media and the performing and cinematic arts.

We encourage creativity and self-expression while providing you with a foundation for collaboration. The high school programs taught by our full-time faculty are intense, engaging and structured; created to give you an enriching college experience.

TISCH SUMMER HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM

The Tisch Summer High School Program culminates in six college credits. This program is not a leisure summer camp; it is a commitment of four weeks on campus that encompasses a highly structured class schedule, which include projects, professional training, and collaboration. The classes are based on the Tisch undergraduate curriculum. Students in the Tisch Summer High School Program are expected to complete any coursework and professional training requirements of the artistic track they are enrolled in. You will live in an NYU residence hall for the duration of the program. The summer

program is open to high school sophomores and juniors from around the world.
