Jonas Gadson Kidney Transplant Fund

Donation protected
When I was four years old, I had to have an operation on my stomach. I had a tumor and my stomach  was protruding out as if I was 9 months pregnant. The doctors told my mother that I had to have an operation and that I was going to die! Eight other babies had the same operation that I had, and all eight of the other babies died. I did have the operation over 50 years ago at 4 years old in Charleston, SC. And it was a horrible and excruciating operation. As a result of how they operated on me I had a massive infection and they went deep into my right side to get all of the infection out.  And they took out the kidney on the right side which had been infected.  My mother was never told and neither was I! The doctors gave a diagnosis that I would die, but God had the final prognosis that I would live!  Bonus from Jonas: "Don't let anyone bury you until after you are dead, you are bigger than that, you are better than that and the best is still in you.  Allow that best to bud, to bloom, and to blossom into a bright and beautiful future!"  Fifty years later, I found out that I only have one kidney, and it is performing at only 5-11%. Now I have been on dialysis for a year and a half and going three times a week and working to get a kidney transplant.

I need the funds immediately because the dialysis is $ 4,000 per month and a kidney transplant costs $ 100,000.

Your funds will help me with a lot of my medicine and recovery after I have received the kidney transplant. It will help me with the medicines that my insurance does not cover and will help me with the essentials that I need for personal upkeep because I will not be able to work for a period of time. I have already exhausted all of my early retirement money. I have been working on the mission field for the last 12 years in Beaufort, SC, I have been teaching and preaching the Gospel for over 45 years, always worked a full time job and never been on the Church payroll! I returned to South Carolina for two purposes; (1) to help take care of my ill 81 year old mother, and (2) to plant a mission work on St. Helena Island/Beaufort, SC to "save souls & to keep souls saved!" And I used all of the money that I earned and my early retirement money for those purposes and to take care of my other living expenses as well. (My apartment and the rent for the church building - to rent with the option to buy).

Other ways that your contribution will help:
I have an urgent situation because my kidney is functioning at a level of only 5-11%. Dialysis is sustaining me, but a live kidney would give me more time and I could continue to live a full and productive life. I am on dialysis for 12 hours weekly, but a healthy kidney is designed to take out the toxins in my body 24 hours a day.  Bonus from Jonas: "When you are running out of time, it is time to start running!"
