A year ago I made this gofundme page so that I could raise funds to fly to Germany in order to participate in an intensive month long German speaking study abroad program. Unfortuately, at the time, I did not raise enough money. Well, guess what? That was then and this is now and I'm getting my ass to Deutschland! 

I've applied to the program for summer 2015 and have been approved. In addition, I have received two grants, the Ernst F. Hoffman Memorial Award and the Max-Kade Travel Grant, that are contributing towards my expenses. Of course, as the powers that be would have it, those grants only cover a portion of my expenses. So, where does that leave me? Begging you beautiful people for more dough so that I can praise your kindness in not just one but two awesome languages. 

I know, I know, that Murray boy is always needing something, but let me ask you this: do I not deliver the goods? I'm ambitious, hardworking, and always willing to give it my all.  Anyone who disagrees... take it up with my 3.95GPA in a triple major program with departmental and university honors. 

The anticipated program is based in Kassel and focuses on conversational German and local culture. It will provide me with the much-needed chance to be immersed in a German speaking environment. Additionally, it is accredited by Hunter and will go towards completing my German major. 

So, what do I need? $6,550.00 (Say, whaaaaa!)

Program Fees -
(Room, Board, and Health Care) : $1,600.00;
Airfare + Ground Transportation: $1,200.00;
6 CUNY Credits - $3,500.00;
Additional Supplies & Expenses - $250.00.

Yes it's a lot of money, but those who know me know that I've never been one to let something as superficial as money get in the way of my goals. This is no different. I understand that you work hard for your money and even if you would like to give, you may not be able to. To that I say, every little bit helps. Give what you feel comfortable with. There is no amount too small. If you can't give, spread the word. Sharing is caring. In exchange I can promise you that I will make the most of the opportunity and learn, explore, and grow.
