Johnson Family Home Burglary & Fire

Donation protected
Hi Family & Friends,

As some of you may have heard, my home was broken into August 21st and then set on fire the following day. The fire was deemed to be arson.  It has been a truly unimaginable week for us.

It’s unthinkable that 90% of our belongings are gone. If you have children, you can sympathize with my new situation: “Mom, is my Xbox ok? My SHOES?!?!” ...and that was from Zach! Bless him!

We will easily adjust to less right now because we are just so grateful to be safe. But I know you want to help and I need it, which is very hard for me to admit but it is the truth because so much has been destroyed.

Here’s a little info about my children for those of you who may not know them:

Zach, age 12:
He’s at a new school this year and he’s extremely excited about his gaming engineering class. He’s also referred to as “Zach Attack” for his mean basketball skills. His old soul is unmatched and until this happened you could find him sporting his robe and flannel pj bottoms every evening.

Veronica, age 17:
My "mini me" is being so brave! Her show of strength in the face of all she’s lost brings me to tears. She is beginning her senior year of high school and has so much to look forward to. She’s the “Tiny Ma” of our home.

Jonah, age 19:
Jonah received a call the morning of the fire that could turn into a wonderful life changing experience. I could burst with joy but I can’t share more right now. His clothes and all he had  for his 22mth old son are now damaged or destroyed.

Noah, age 20:
Though away at college, Noah is showing great strength through this. All of Noah’s street wear and athletic gear stored at home was destroyed.

What we will miss most are the familiy memorabilia which can't be replaced.

We are humbled by our sudden new reality, but are uplifted and encouraged day by day by so many.

Every call, every "it's ok, let it out" to each of us, every text, every hug, every “we got you”, every dinner, every everything has touched the very core of our beings. We are so blessed by the love of family and friends and community support. We will rebuild our lives and will be stronger for it.

With all the LOVE we can muster: THANK YOU!
