John and Rocio's medical fund

Our fundraising wish is regarding a very dear friend and coworker, Rocio.  Rocio is married to John and has a 19 year old son. We met Rocio 13 years ago when she started her job as an instructional assistant for preschool students with developmental delays. In a profession that has a huge turnover rate for staff, Rocio has remained at our school, dedicating herself to the care and education of our students.  Her job, although rewarding, does not pay a lot and because it is part time, she does not have the luxury of health insurance for her or her family.  John is an independent contractor in real estate and does not receive company insurance. Like so many others, John and Rocio do not qualify for government assistance and other health care is nowhere near affordable for them and their family.  Recently, John was diagnosed with stage IV cancer in his jaw.  Without insurance they face a long road ahead.  They now have a major obstacle to face for treatment, money. With your help, we would like to give John and Rocio the gift of life.  Instead of wondering if they will be able to afford the next treatment, pay their mortgage and buy groceries because of high medical bills, we can help provide a little security during such an uncertain time.  Rocio and John’s faith is very important, this is evident in their interactions with friends, family and those less fortunate.  Rocio is always the first person to donate her time, her home or her fabulous talent of cooking for those around her.  Please help us grant this wish for our friends.   Love Carol, Elmy and Marli
