John "John John" Meute is like a brother to me. We have been friends since we were kids growing up in Aliquippa - a small steel town in Western Pennsylvania.
John is one of the kindest, gentlest and giving people I know. Everyone loves him and he has the ability to just light up any gathering. Complete strangers feel like he is their best friend. Since we were kids John has given so much to me, my family, our group of friends and their families - its our turn to help John and show him how much we love and support him.
Nearly five years ago John was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has been undergoing treatment ever since. Although its been tough, John has been doing incredibly well and has responded to treatment more positively than even the doctors expected. Its now time for more treatment. John needs another round of chemo and needs to stay in New York for a couple of months starting at the end of April.
Many of you have asked yourselves "what can I do to help?" Well this is it! What John needs more than anything is our help over the next 30 days to raise the necessary funds to secure an apartment and support himself during this period. This will help to give John a stress-free environment where he can focus on his health and bless us all with his friendship and love for many years to come.
