There are many words I could use to describe my Dad - Friendly, Supportive, Trusting, Dependable, Forgiving, Humorous, but even more than all those, my Dad has always been Hard-Working and Energetic. He has always been very strong and active until this past Christmas 2014. He started losing his coordination and balance, spent 2 weeks in the hospital for tests, and found out that he has a very aggressive Grade IV Glioblastoma Brain Cancer in his cerebellum. It is inoperable and he has just finished his first round of radiation and chemotherapy.

Just before he started having these symptoms (and after 56 years of marriage) my parents purchased their first home. It is a fixer-upper, and with my Dad being a carpenter (and pastor) by trade, he was planning on doing most of the work himself. They need to add a bedroom to the ground level because the only bedroom is upstairs and he cannot manage the stairs anymore. He is still trying to do a lot of the renovations himself, but he tires very easily, has poor balance, and cannot lift anything anymore. My Mom has been taking care of him and trying to do everything...and I mean EVERYTHING. She is a very strong-willed woman and is doing more than I ever thought she could or should after having quadruple by-pass surgery.

The added medical expenses, moving expenses, and the cost of renovations to their new home are adding to the stress they are already facing with the cancer. If you know my Dad, you know these new limitations are not easy for him to adjust to and my parents would never ask for help, so I am asking for them. If my Dad and/or Mom have touched your life at all, any and all donations will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to help them in this stressful time. Through the years, God has met their needs over and over again; I am sure He will meet their needs again with your help. Your continued prayers are greatly appreciated, as well.
