Houston Harvey Rescue Trip

    John has been moved to put action behind his concern and compassion for those being effected by the floods in Texas. He has already spent so much of his own money getting together supplies to make his way to Texas to join emergency response in their rescue  and care efforts for those effected by this catastrophy.  Joining him, is Amber, and they are both incredibly brave to be sacrificing their own time and safety to make a difference any way they can. This is going to be very physically and emotionally challenging I'm sure and along the way, these two are going to need whatever help we can send their way. 

    They are going to be taking a boat through flood areas to assist with search and rescue teams in locating and rescuing people who are trapped by these floods. They are also going to be purchasing supplies and making sure that they get to those who need them most! 

    Take a minute and think about the items that you and your family or friends use on a daily basis. Imagine being without those necessities due to flooding waters with no access to your home or belongings. That is what the people in the flooded areas of Texas are dealing with at this moment. Diapers, Clean water, Food, Bottles and formula, Clothes. This list could go on and on. Those are just a few things that John and Amber are going to be trying to supply to these people while they have a way to get these items to those that need them. They are also going to need gasoline so that they can continue to use the boat and power their generator. This stuff isnt free.
So far, we have used donated money to purchase a 6ft table, popup tent, 3 cases of diapers, 4 cases of baby food, blankets, batteries, and we plan to purchase more as soon as funds are released from GoFundMe. I have set up withdrawals to come out daily into an account I have opened so that we have access to the funds to spend them on supplies for this trip.   We are all here safe with our families and dry.The least we can do is send what we can to help those who are able to go to Texas and give their time and physical efforts. It doesn't matter if your donation is $1, $2, $5, $10, or more. Every cent can be promised to go directly to the rescue efforts as well as the items they are going to be purchasing to donate. Ya'll may not know John or Amber, but you know me. You also know that I wouldn't put my support behind somone who wouldn't deserve it more than these two right now.
