Story about the McCabe's 
As Hurricane Harvey continues to bring disaster to the Houston area and the Gulf Coast, our hearts and prayers are with those affected.
The Houston office joined Wealth Enhancement Group earlier this year. There are nine talented, knowledgeable and dedicated individuals that have been primarily unscathed by the disaster. . . that is until last Monday.
As the rain kept pounding Houston, the waters drew higher and higher for one of our Financial Advisors and his family. John and his wife Marilyn McCabe could no longer obey the command to "hunker down" but instead to take action to save his family and flee to safety.
The McCabe's were the "lucky ones" and got out by boat. But their two story home is still being ravished by the dirty waters. They won't know what they have to deal with until they are able to go back to inspect. But they know for sure that anything on the first floor is now gone. It will probably be months before they can fully return to their home and regain some normalcy.
All our colleagues in the Houston office are chipping in to help the McCabe's salvage what they can from their home before rebuilding can be begin. That's the kind of Texas pride that's going on . . . helping each other!
Wealth Enhancement Group has created this GoFundMe webpage to provide a spot for colleagues and friends to also share in the restoration of this family.
$10,000 is a modest amount for a goal, but we believe that would be such an encouragement to John and his family.
The Executive Team has provided some seed money already to reach the $10,000 goal. Since we can't be the "feet on the street" for the McCabe's, we encourage you to give what you can and encourage your friends to do likewise.
