John is a kind, bright, hard-working, and straight-A student at Montera Middle School in Oakland, CA. Last month, John was taken to the hospital and a brain tumor was discovered. He has been in the ICU for the past couple of weeks, undergoing procedures and intensive surgery.
His parents struggled to be by his side due to financial constraints so they can be at work. The Montera community wants to relieve some of their stress by raising $10,000 to help pay for their financial needs. This money can help John's parents pay for some medical bills, rent, and time off work.
