Joey’s Memorial Scholarship Fund

Donation protected
My 21 year old son, Joey, was hit and killed on 2/02/2014  while bicycling Santiago Canyon in Orange County, California.  He was killed by a hit and run driver who was high on methamphetamine.

I want to honor Joey's memory and his passion for bicycling by offering a memorial scholarship for an indiviudal to attend United Bike Institute in Ashland,  the school Joey attended in 2012, to become a bicycle technician.

Joey struggled as a teenager finding his purpose in life. His training at United Bike Institute provided him that purpose and transformed his life.

As a result he was excited about life, working as a bicycle technician and salesman at JAX Bicycle Center in Irvine, attending college, and bicycle racing.

This scholarship program is an attempt to honor Joey's memory by "paying it forward", giving others the hope and opportunity for change.

Thank you for your kind consideration..
