Joe's battle with cancer

My husband received a cancer diagnosis for his 61st birthday present.....we still have a beautiful talented 17 year old daughter to get through her last year of high school and then college...he deserves to be around for that. On top of a cancer diagnosis he had kidney stones actually embedded in his urinary tract that had to be operated on before the prostate could be delt with...so we trusted the doctor and had the surgery....now due the ineptness of the doctor, who placed a stint in after the kidney stone surgery and did not remove it, but opted instead to let us go off and find a surgeon to deal with the cancer, we are told that he may have to have surgery on the damage caused by the extended length of time the stint was in (which was removed just a couple of days ago instead of 7-10 days after surgery) and delay the cancer surgery, which could give it time to metastisize to his bones...are you kidding me right now???? If it had only been the cancer we would have struggled to pay the bills, but now this and an extended time off work and me having to take off as well to go with him, I'm not sure how we can do it...start selling things??? Or ask for help...well I'm opting to get on my knees and ask for help...he will not be happy with me about it as he is a very proud man...but sometimes you just have to rely on the kindness of others with a promise to pay it forward as soon as we get through this tunnel.
