Medical Transport For Joe Sharp

Our dear Friend and Brother Red Knight, NJ Chapter 16 President Emeritus Joe Sharp, is fighting Stage IV Lung Cancer.  He was diagnosed shortly after his wife Dora was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer about a year ago.  Six months they told him, but Joe being Joe, he had his own idea of how this was going to go. His toughness, and a strong positive attitude have brought him out a year from then. More than six months longer than he was given.  Due to their illnesses they retired and found a place in Tennessee where they were scheduled to move to last week.  Dora and Joe had started the process of moving over a week ago, having all their belongings packed up and sent off to their new house in Tennesee.  Then Joe's cancer delivered a right hook and landed him in the hospital.  It seems the last Chemo treatment took its toll and the cancer has spread.  Joe has decided to stop treatments and will be released from the hospital in a few days on Hospice Care. The problem is, he has to get to Tennessee, since they no longer have anything here in New Jersey. This requires Medical Air Transport,  there is no way he could make the trip any other way.  The cost for air med transport is going to be very expensive and most likely will need to happen by Saturday July 8th .  

If you have not done so already, please consider helping. As many of you know, Joe always gave of himself. This is our opportunity to help fulfill his final wish. We don’t have much time and we are working hard to make this happen.  I know we all want to see Joe spend his last days in Tennessee with Dora.

Only Joe and Dora have access to the funds raised.  In the event Joe passes before transport the funds will go towards funeral expenses.  Thank You!
