Jody needs the help of his friends.
Having jumped hoops and secured recommendations from both his family physician and mental health professional, and having located a  surgeon who is not only sympathetic but also enthusiastic to assist, Jody has been APPROVED for chest reconstruction surgery.  Jody has been taking testosterone for over a year and has absolute, medically supported clarity supporting his decision to transition  from born-female to an appearance that supports his male identity!  *trumpet blares/confetti falls/squirrels dance*

This surgery needs to be scheduled as soon as possible and performed before the end of the year.  Jody has shouldered the emotional and financial burden of this journey. It didn't happen overnight. This opportunity has been years in the making and now is the moment  we step up and support our friend, so keep reading- it's good news!

Having dutifully chased this dream, Jody has met his deductible for this year.  It would be a show of our affirmation and love if we fund the uncovered expenses related to his procedure and recovery. We all deserve an authentic life in full.  We have an opportunity to assist Jody in reaching mental well-being, greater physical safety, and true happiness.

Jody would never ask anyone to give more than they are able, and I'm not asking anyone to either. Any amount given sends a message of love, support and validation. Twenty bucks would be generous, and if all the people who love Jody could give $20, this surgery will happen in the celebratory and joyous way that such an occasion merits.

Why twenty bucks?  I've known Jody my entire life. He's my cousin, and only six months older. In my eyes, Jody was always our Granny's favorite and I was OK with that because he was my favorite, too. Every year for Christmas all the cousins would each get $20 from our grandparents. If I had known the challenges Jody would one day be facing, I'd have stashed away every one of those $20 bills until he was ready for them. I love Jody and want to see him at peace with himself and his body. If you're reading this, I hope you do, too.

No amount of love and support is unappreciated. Grand gestures are nice, but small considerations get us through the day.
If you're unable to donate but can share this project with your friends, my family would be most grateful.
