On Nov 1st, 2017 Jodie Zellner was diagnosed with stage 2B Breast Cancer. After several scans & many painful biopsies, her diagnosis was upgraded just prior to Thanksgiving. Another cancerous (& inoperable) tumor was found outside the area origin. It was then deemed Aggressive Metastatic Breast Cancer...Stage 4.
Jodie, a 39 y.o. wife, mother, sister, co-worker, & amazing BFF has had a rough road since then. As a family, we lost our minds when we heard the words Breast Cancer. To hear metastatic/Stage 4 less than 3 weeks later led to devastation & fear. With the most amazing support team ever, Jodie began the battle early and followed the steps for conventional treatment along with an intense nutritional, detox, & diet change. Her Chemo port was implanted and she began her 1st round (of 8) on Dec 4th 2017. Of course, she has had many miserable days of hell along with many days that could only be described as "doing as well as possible".
On Jan 4th, 2018 Jodie celebrated her 9th wedding anniversary with the gift of Chemo! After her 4th round in mid-January, more imaging will be done to re-measure tumor sizes. Surgery will begin in the upcoming months in which she is still hopeful for a lumpectomy, followed by radiation.
On top of Cancer, life continues to happen. Cars breakdown, house repairs are needed, mortgage payments are due…along with all the other unpleasantries of life; the norm becomes menacing. Overall, we are very positive that in the end all will be fine, but the journey remains long & arduous. Thanks to ALL for the immense support we have received thus far. We wouldn’t have made it this far without an amazing support team.

Sister Tanya on Barber/Stylist duties. They were damned near twins at that point.
