As most of you know, Howell's Bar & Grill in Dearborn, Michigan was recently destroyed by a fire. While this was a devastating loss for the community, it's allowed the opportunity for Jimmy Lessnau to pursue his dream of owning his own bar again.
Jimmy previously owned Cocomo on Michigan Avenue over 30 years ago, and later Sully's Blues Bar "one of the best-known and most-loved blues clubs ever to draw an audience in the Detroit area" for 14 years until it's doors closed in 1995. He's been slinging your burgers and overthrowing the jukebox at Howell's for the last 10 years.
Now, Jimmy's friends and family are hoping to help him fulfill this very big dream by asking for your help. With $150,000, he could establish a new bar with the classic Jimmy fare. Alternately, with $300,000, he could secure enough space to incorporate live music again. So we're going to aim high and see what happens!
