Hello, Everyone! My name is Nancy and I’m writing on behalf of one of my most favorite people in the world.
Jenny Essa is the kind of friend that everyone should be lucky enough to have. She’s not only the most fun person at a party, but she’s also the one you can count on to stay late, help you clean up, and keep you laughing the whole time. She's also the kind of person who would drop anything to go and help a loved one in need. So, when Jenny's dad was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer this past spring, Jenny dropped everything in Chicago and returned to her hometown of Richmond, VA, to be by his side. Now she needs our help.
Jim Essa was diagnosed with Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma in April, 2017. The cancer has since caused a bone metastasis that has made it impossible for him to return to work. Because the diagnosis came as such a surprise, the Essa family has had little time to prepare or plan ahead financially. Despite the stress of cancer treatment and finances, Jim has kept that same goofy sense of humor and positive spirit that he shares with Jenny.
As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for their family both emotionally and financially. Please spread the word to help Jenny's dad pay for the expensive life-prolonging treatments he needs and manage the bills that are starting to add up.
