Who is Jill

Jill Bailey Heckman battled breast cancer for over 3 years, enduring multiple surgeries, radiation treatments and chemotherapy treatments.  Unfortunately, Jill lost her long battle with breast cancer and passed away on August 24, 2017.

Jill was a single mother of of 3 children and one of her biggest concerns throughout her battle with breast cancer was making sure that the needs of her children (Josie, Katie & Trey) would be taken care of going forward and that her parents, Jan and Jerry Bailey, would have their rights as grandparents protected so as to allow them to continue to be actively involved in Josie's, Katie's and Trey's lives going foward.

The funds raised in this Gofundme campaign will be used to assist in paying legal fees to insure that Jill's wish that her parents rights as grandparents are protected and recognized so that Jan and Jerry can continue to participate in and have a say in their grandchildren's lives going foward.  The funds will also be used to set up college funds for each of the children to assist in allowing each of them to attend college in the future.

Jill had numerours friends and helped countless people in her life.  Those who knew Jill know what kind of person she was and how she thought of others before herself all of her life.  For those who may not have known Jill as well, Wendy Basch, a close friend of Jill's, wrote a blog post that describes who Jill was and the impact she had on the lives of so many people around her:

Please take a minute to read the blog post, but if you can't, there is one paragraph in the blog that describes Jill as a mother:

"Jill is a mother.  Looking after her 3 children and worrying if she loves them too much.  She sees the gifts each one possesses and loves them each individually.  She believes in them, pushes them to become their best, sets the example of strength and love and doesn't relent when she wants to teach a lesson.  They are her greatest treasures.  The jewels of her heart.  They are her life.  Her greatest wish for them is to walk with God."

Please help Jill's family and friends in this fundraising to provide the funds needed to provide for Jill's wishes going forward and please help spread the word
