Jilian is Kicking Cancer

In January of 2017, Jilian Reints was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer.  In February she received genetic testing to ensure she didn't possess the mutation for the Cancer to return once treated, but this is not guaranteed 100%.  With the passing of her mother Anne who had Cancer, this was crucial testing. The results were negative, which meant she did not need a mastectomy, and could proceed with treatment.

 On March first, Jilian underwent surgery to remove the lump in her breast, and lymph nodes.  April 11th Jilian began her first round of Chemotherapy, to end June 13th. She was fitted for a wig prior, and given the option to take Cold Cap Therapy, which allowed her to retain a good portion of her hair, but still has seen dramatic changes in her body. She had a very bad reaction to the Chemotherapy over the Memorial Day Holiday, and was in the ER. 

She is currently undergoing Radiation treatment that will last through August. Her insurance and family/friends have helped some through this troubled time, but as a single mother of two small children, on a teacher's pay, the financial burden is beyond what she can manage-- This is why I have created the fund for Jilian.
