Hello Friends and Family.
I'm so excited to announce that my friend Rachel and I will be going back to Mozambique, Africa! (Although it is her 1st mission trip-ever!)
You may wonder why it is that I would travel back to a place I have been twice before. Why not somewhere else? Well this place has truly captured my heart and I have developed some great friendships with the Mozambicans. My heart longs to be back with them.
Also, a lot has happened since my last trip their 2 years ago. Just recently Mozambique was hit by terrorism for several weeks. It was bad, there were homes that were burned, some were even tortured and killed. I will save you the gruesome details but I will tell you that my heart broke at this news and I prayed so much while all of this was happening. I always say that Mozambicans were the ones who truly showed me what it is to love, without condition.
While on the base we will have the opportunity to do many things. There is village outreach, hospital ministry, spending time with the widows and kids who live on the base as well as bush ministry and much more as we simply stop for the one in front of us.
We will preach the gospel, love like Jesus, and hopefully help bring healing and comfort to the people who have recently encountered so much heartache.
We will be flying out on October 13th and returning on October 29th. I am asking that you would prayerfully seek as to how you too could be a part of this trip. As much as we need financial means to get there we also need people of prayer to partner with us as we go.
