I'm writing to you as the proud husband of a beautiful, kind and noble woman. Her love and devotion has made me a better man. She also happens to be the World's Greatest Mommy to our children Alyssa and Andrew.
The person I am referring to is my beloved Jessica.
Our world was rocked last month when she was diagnosed with Stage IV Colorectal Cancer. Sadly, the cancer is very agressive and has spread to other vital organs. It has been deemed incurable by two different oncology specialists.
My heart is truly broken, unless a miracle occurs, I will be losing the love of my life, my wife and best friend. Our children, Alyssa, age 6 and Andrew, age 3 will also be losing their Mommy to this devastating disease. The mere thought of this has brought me to tears many times.
If you know Jessica, you know that her heart is as big as any person you'll meet... ever with a smile that can brighten up even the darkest of days. She is fun loving and silly at times but overall just a wonderful, positive and happy person to be around. She has devoted her life to our family, her work, and being someone who can be counted on. If you've never met Jessica, I can assure you will be met with a smile and a heart full of kindness. Just ask anyone who's ever had the pleasure of meeting her. They will all agree that she is truly a gem.
We have been dealing with the fact that her prognosis is not promising and have accepted the reality of the circumstances. Jessica, with the support of her family and friends is prepared to face it with the dignity and class she has always demonstrated.
I've setup this site so that our family, friends, coworkers and others have a place to go to for facts about her condition and updates directly from her and I. Please do not feel obligated to donate funds, if you wish not to donate, please share this so that others may have an opportunity to do so.
Any monies raised here will go directly to her care, which range from needed supplies for home care, home care services, equipment, and whatever else is needed while she is fighting this debilitating disease.
