Jessica's Medical Journey

Donation protected
What words do I even try to express writing this.  As many of you know Jess has been unfortuate with dealing with unsolved medical diagnosis's for almost four years now.  With the start of her journey visiting our local hospital (several times) and them stating that it was normal symptoms for a teenage female to go through. Many days and nights at Children's Hospital, John Hopkins, and visiting several other medical practitioners to try and figure out something!
Fast forwarding: After visting two different specialists; with each of them "discovering" something new each time they performed laparoscopic exploratory procedures...but still no clear answers of why Jess was enduring the pain and symptoms she was having. Its now clear that Jess has been diagnosed with Uterine/Uterus Didelphys and an extreme case of Endometriosis.
Uterine Didelphys is a rare congenital abnormality (two complete uterus).
Endometriosis is a disorder in which tissue that normally grows inside the uterus grows outside of it. Jess is also still having ovarian cysts rupture (some several times daily) and STILL NO answers on why this is happening.  As I've shared with some of you recently; the local specialist is now encouraging Jess to "try" yet another new drug, to see if it will help.....(another one)!!
I received word today, that they have accepted Jess' case, and as of Monday, December 18th, Jess and I will continue this journey at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.  We are not certain on how long the visit will last (up to a week for all tests and evaluation to be completed); so that's where we are asking not only for your continued prayers, support and travel blessings but if you are able to help us financially for this upcoming trip. Thank you for you're time.

As I state to Jess often: Her test will be her testimony & This To Shall Pass!  Many thanks!  ~ Shelly  xoxoxo ~
