Jerrick's Funeral Expenses

Jerrick was more than my partner for nearly seven years, he is family. I’m deeply saddened by the loss of him and my heart has never felt pain like this. He was the kindest and most generous person I knew and everyone that knew him loved him.
Jerrick’s body was sent to Florida to be laid to rest in the community he grew up in. Between sending him to FL and the funeral services, the costs total approximately $10,000. We’ve been able to raise some funds, but not enough to prevent a financial hardship.
The cost for me to fly from California to Florida for the service there started at $1200, so instead of spending that money on a flight I gave it to his mother for the service and I will have a celebration of life for him in Sacramento, CA. It breaks my heart to not have the opportunity to see and touch him one last time and if my fundraising efforts are successful enough over the next couple days I would like to fly to FL for his service.
Jerrick was generous with finances and did not want his loved ones to experience a financial burden. The best way I know how to honor Jerrick is to support his mother, so I’ve created this Go Fund Me account to raise funds for her to cover the costs of transporting his body and burying him as well as the cost of a flight for me to the service.
