If I've invited you to this page then I trust you hold the wellness and growth of my family in a special place in your heart. This is my first experience with a GoFundMe page, and quite honestly I had to arrive in a place of true humility to have the courage to reach out to my community for support.


Sol's Accident

As you all are aware, my son Sol collided with a car while riding his bicycle to work on May 3, 2017. He sustained two fractures two his left femur and a metal plate and three screws were placed in rotate his femur and secure it to the hip socket. Our summer consisted of the careful attention his leg required to rehabilitate.  I predicted that he would be walking by early fall, and he is!


Moving Forward with a Healing Journey 

I had the feeling that if I would extract Sol, my daughter Emma, and myself from the "rat race" for a couple of weeks and participate in a yoga retreat, that  this type of experience would invite my young adults to MINDFULLY enter their bodies. We have secured roundtrip airline tickets to India, and our mentor and friend has offered me a payment plan to make this dream accessible. We depart to the Temple Towns of Tamil Nadu, India in two weeks from today, on October 31st. We would appreciate any support you are able to offer to reach our goal. 


Sol's Graduation Gift

In addition to the healing that this journey will provide we are also celebrating Sol's successful passing of his Hi-Set exams and entrance to UNM. This is his graduation gift.
