Hi. My name is Jennifer Drake. I am a wife and mother of three as well as the co-overseer of our local church family at Gateway CDA, and I am in love with my God and love operating in the way that he designed me! I am setting up this GoFundMe acount because God told me now is the time to make my first album and I need your help to make that happen! Please read on to know what you will be investing in...
My entire life I have wanted to bring glory to God through my song. As I've grown and matured and as I've grown closer to the Lord, what that looks like has been more clearly defined and confirmed. Holy Spirit has purposed to hone and purify my worship to honor Him in my own unique way. My song and my sound, my life, is meant to bring healing to the hearts of others through the revealing of the Father's heart for them. I have a very real, raw and vulnerable sound and style that I believe God cultivated through my own experiences with Him in order to reach the depths of people's hurts and bring restoration. I enjoy doing that on a small scale with my local body, but this year God told me that its time to make an album so that I can reach out and touch the body of Christ around the world with the message of His heart for them, and thus the birthing of my album, "Dividing Bone and Marrow".
"Dividing Bone and Marrow" will be an album born from purposeful sessions of partnering with God in prophetic intercession and deep, personal worship through song. It will empathize with the genuine hurts and sorrows in the depths of man's heart while calling and drawing the very spirit of man into the truth of Papa's affections for them. This may come out in full song form and/or in raw, spontaneous segments. I also have several songs the Lord has already begun to cultivate in me that I will be continuing to develop in hopes of adding to this album, if not the next.
I feel that God has emotionally, phyically, mentally and spiritually primed me for this new season. I have already begun to set myself up to make this happen, but I need YOUR support to really get this rolling! Here are the main things that we are needing in order to get this project started:
1. Preschool/child care for my son, Topher, so that I have dedicated time for song writing and recording.
2. Building a sound booth for acoustic recording.
3. All marketing, including the production of CDs.
4. Minimal increased personal budget to accomodate extra travel and living expenses due to a busier schedule.
As many funds up front would be helpful in securing the initial needs, but I will be keeping this funding campaign open through the length of the project for those who would like to contribute throughout the process to keep us afloat. I want to thank you all in advance not only for any finanical support but also for your prayers and encouragement. There have been so many who have invested in me and continue to support me. I look forward to pouring out all that has been lovingly poured into me over the years and having the pleasure of glorifying my incredible God through it.
