Helping Jennifer Wilson

Donation protected
God promises to never give us more than we can handle. On August 20th 2014, Jennifer Wilson was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma. There are 7 cases out of 100,000 people diagnosed each year. DLBCL is a non-Hodgkin Lymphoma commonly among adults and is a very aggressive tumor which can arise in virtually any part of the body. With timely and appropriate treatment, approximately 60% of all patients can be cured. Jennifer has already undergone numerous tests and has completed her 1st chemotherapy treatment. She will have minimum 8 cycles of R-CHOP therapy over a 4-6 month period. Following each treatment, Jennifer gets a shot to build her white blood cells. This shot cost $10,000.00.….yes you read that correctly…..$10,000.00. And she will have to have at least 8 of these.

Jennifer is A CHRISTIAN, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, she’s loving, honest, a mentor and soon to be a cancer survivor! She has 3 children and has been married to her husband, Ricky, for 24 years. She is an avid worker and faithful member of Cornelia Christian Church. She is a nutrition assistant at Habersham Central High School, where she has spent the last 10 years serving and mentoring to the kids of Habersham county.

She is a woman that has already gone through adversity, when her husband suffered a severe stroke 5 years ago.

They never lost Faith in God and continued to push on and live through it. No one could possibly prepare for this type of situation, mentally or financially. There is insurance coverage, however the expense is over and above the coverage. There is not only the expense of treatment, doctor visits and tests…not to mention that expensive shot, but travel, medications, and food. Jennifer was reluctant to publicly share any hardship this situation will cause her family. Instead, her initial thought was to use this as an invitation to Jesus and to raise awareness for DLBCL. After only a few weeks of what the next few months will hold for her, the choice to make this process smoother, was to share with her family and friends how difficult this will be without some assistance.

Being diagnosed with cancer can often trigger a range of feelings and emotions that raises concern for the patients outcome, their determination to fight the battle. Cancer treatment will cause physical discomfort but the financial burden can cause unhealthy stress to the patient. People often ask, what can I do for you? How can I help? If you need anything, just call me! So this is what will help Jennifer and her family the most. Please pray for this family daily, that God will comfort them and wrap His arms around them during this difficult time. Cancer comes in a package deal, with depression. Lets make this struggle in her life a little easier with donations. Please consider making any donation you could to help offset these expenses and allow Jennifer and her family to focus on her life and beating cancer. No donation is too small as any and all will ease the stress and allow her to focus solely on beating this terrible disease that affects so many people. Thank you in advance and Gob Bless each and every one of you!
