Hi to all. My name is Jeffrey Wilson and wish to share my personal story as a positive and uplifting journey that my family and I are walking together, hand in hand to overcome. I am a 52 year old male, married with 3 grown children, and 6 grandchildren. My occupation is law enforcement and up till January 23, 2014 was a normal, healthy man loving life. On January 25, 2014 my life was turned upside down after recieving news that I was diagnosed with a stage 4 Glioblastoma brain tumor, in short, a very aggressive form of brain cancer. Unfortunatley this is a non curable disease, but is beatable. As you can imagine the news hit me harder than anything I have had to endure in my entire life. My next response to my wonderful medical team was "OK what do we have to do to beat this battle". I am a very positive individual that does not go down without a fight, and I believe there are many ways to win the battle. January 30, 2014 I had brain surgery to remove the the tumor and it was a complete sucess.
I am cancer free everywhere else in my body. Now I am doing chemo and radiation for six weeks and I am doing well except for some side effects. This has been a life altering change for me personally for the better. My personal relationship with God is one that coutinues to blossom and grow, allowing me to provide strength and hope to others in my position. I have been given a purpose in life and am very grateful for the support I have recieved from family and friends. I have a daily saying I live by; "REMEBER... Today is the best day to living".
