One Team, One Dream

My father, Jeff, has just been diagnosed with terminal lung and brain cancer. Growing up we did not have the chance to be in each others lives, however we were finally able to reunite 8 years ago, me being 21 years old and my father age 51. One week ago, my father became very sick, resulting in his doctor finding a 6cm mass on his lung. The mass was found to be malignant, as well as unoperable due to the location of it. I immediately flew out to see him, as it has been since our reunion 8 years ago that I had seem him because neither of us have been able to afford to fly cross country ( I live in Oregon, he lives in Arkansas). The day I returned home, I received the call that the cancer has spread to his brain, and that he has been given 6-9 months life expectancy. My father and I have become so close in the last few years and during my recent trip to Arkansas I was able to meet my sisters, who my father raised. It would mean the world for me to be able to fly back to Arkansas, along with my children and boyfriend, to spend as much time with him as possible while we can. He has always said he would love to have all of his girls together with him, making his family truly complete. I would like to be there for my family and stand by their side throughout this hard time, being my father's strength as well. It would mean the world to all of us. I am asking for help in purchasing the plane tickets (round trip) for my family and I to fly from Oregon to Arkansas, for us to be able to spend a few priceless weeks with my father and our family, as the few weeks I will be taking off from work will be unpaid, but allowed through the Family Medical Leave Act. I cannot express how much this means to me.
