Help while Jaxson is in NICU at UCLA

Donation protected

Jaxson Anthony will be delivered at UCLA via cesarean section at the end of October (when we have an exact date I will update the page). Early in the pregnancy Jaxson was diagnosed with Gastroschisis*. Because of this, Jaxson will have to have surgery shortly after being born and will be in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for a minimum of 42 days. UCLA does not provide accomodations for the mother of NICU children beyond the normal C-section recovery (usually 3-4 days). Because Samantha lives in Bakersfield she will have to pay for a hotel in order to stay near Jaxson. We all know how important it is for a baby to be close to his mommy especially when he will already be going through so much- Please help with any donation you can to help. The hotel on the UCLA campus for family is $120 per night which includes a small kitchenette so Samantha wont have to eat out. Jaxson's daddy is a Soldier with the United States Army and served a year in Iraq.
Our daily goal is $150 for the next 7 weeks in order to reach our total.
Thank you so much for sharing, donating and forwarding to friends and family!
*Gastroschisis is a congenital defect characterized by a defect in the anterior abdominal wall through which the abdominal contents freely protrude. The cause of gastroschisis is unknown. It is not related to anything the mother ate or did during pregnancy.
