Javier’s Fur Family Reinoso Cat Sanctuary

This is Javier Reinoso with some of the 70plus cats cared for in his Venezuelan Sanctuary. This wonderful family have been saving abandoned street cats for decades and are now in a situation of extreme poverty and starvation due to their governments political stance. The only contact they have with the rest of the world is through social media, specifically twitter. Their account is @reinosoj2 where you can find out more about their daily life in the Sanctuary.

The love and care shown to these animals whilst suffering an ever worsening situation is a lesson to us all in compassion and dignity. It is never easy to have to ask for help and Venezuela and it’s people are truly in need. No amount donated is too small and goes to help in feeding, buying clean water and veterinary care (neutering) for the cats. These animals cannot be rehomed due to the ever worsening economic crisis in the country. There are now 70 plus cats at the Sanctuary, totally dependent on the Reinoso family who receive no renumeration themselves.

I am campaigning on behalf of the Reinoso family as a donator and long time supporter myself. I am an English ex pat lady living and working in Lausanne, Switzerland. I discovered this worthy cause through friends of the Sanctuary on social media. All the funds raised are directly forwarded to Mr. Reinoso to enable him to continue his incredible work in caring for these animals. The inflation rate in Venezuela has now passed 10 million% and with an average national wage of $8/ month their situation is critical and precarious on a daily basis. The world has truly forgotten the people of Venezuela and their suffering but with your support we can help to make a difference for the Sanctuary. Thank you.
