Ayuda para caballos que han perdido su hogar, Alicante, España

El pasado domingo 19 de enero por la tarde, el temporal Gloria azotó la pequeña localidad de Jesús Pobre en Alicante, Costa Blanca, y arrancó el tejado del establo y resto de cubiertas de un centro de caballos local. 

La propietaria, Janet, se vio obligada a evacuar y encontrar asilo para sus 11 caballos, ya que sus instalaciones habían quedado destruidas y no eran seguras para ellos. En mitad del temporal, tuvo que hacer frente al fuerte viento y salir a proteger a los animales dentro de lo posible. Vientos de más de 120 km por hora arrancaron el tejado del establo, el edificio más seguro donde se habían agrupado los caballos después de que algunos cobertizos hubieran sido dañados. Un trozo del mismo rompió un cristal de su caravana, causando una herida a su perro. Los caballos, aterrorizados, quedaron al descubierto y expuestos a la intensa lluvia y viento que azotó a toda la costa durante la tarde y noche del domingo y el lunes por la mañana. La valla también fue tirada por el viento, imposibilitando mantener los caballos dentro.  

Milagrosamente, ningún caballo resultó herido, pero todos tuvieron que ser evacuados por su seguridad. Algunos de ellos son de avanzada edad y necesitan medicación. Janet ahora se encuentra con la titánica tarea de reconstruir sus establos, su forma de vida y el hogar de sus caballos, algo para lo que necesita ayuda. Cualquier donación que hagáis será bien recibida, por pequeña que sea, pues muchas pequeñas donaciones consiguen lo que una persona sola no puede conseguir.

Storm Gloria hit the small village of Jesus Pobre last Sunday evening, the 19th January 2020  in the Alicante region of the Costa Blanca and totally destroyed the barn roof and surrounding infrastructure of a local horse stables. The stables and surrounding fencing securing the horses have been destroyed and the damage beyond belief.

Owner Janet was left scrambling to re-home 11 horses during the late night storm, with lashing rain and debris blowing around her.
Gale force 9 winds sent a piece of the roof through her caravan window and left the horses without shelter and her with no secure home, her dog was injured when the roof hurtled through the caravan and the horses were left terrified and with no cover during the raging storm which battered the local coastline.

Janet now faces the painful task of picking up the pieces and trying to rebuild her stables, bring her horses back who have been evacuated and trying to piece her life back together.
