Help Jason and Susie with Adoption

Donation protected
We had given up on the process of adoption. Six or seven years ago, Susie and I looked into adoption through the state but the expense and hoops we would have to jump through proved too intimidating so we stopped thinking about it. And so, we had pushed it to the back of our minds. But on my way back to work from a lunchtime errand I noticed a billboard. It was just a quick glance as I went through an intersection but it caught my eye. It was for the agency Quiver Full and it gave me hope. When I discussed it with Susie, we discovered how much we both still desired to adopt and share our home and life with a child.

OUR STORY
We were married on August 13, 2005 with hopes of starting a family immediately. But soon found ourselves moving from our home in Ohio to South Carolina. We began building our life away from any friends or family .

Still believing that we could start a family, we continued in our careers, Susie as swim lesson and fitness instructor, and my job as an advertising Art Director. Susie started volunteering with Wildlife Rescue and helping with the neighbors’ farms. Before we knew it, a job change with a long commute motivated us to move.
We felt lead by God to step outside of our comfort zone. We set our hearts on a place where we could combine our creativity and love for the environment and animals, allowing our daily routine to become a way to nurture and be caretakers for the gifts God gave us.

Here in Seneca not only do we live near beautiful mountains and lakes we have found a property where we can put down roots. We are blessed that we found a good parish in our community. The church has a strong Adult Faith Formation program that Susie attends. Additionally we both are actively involved in the church Victory Garden. We feel not only called to take care of this land, these dogs, cats and horse . We feel called to bring a child into this loving environment.

OUR GOAL
UPDATED: We are in Step Two of our adoption process. Since January 2018 we have been working with Angel Adoption out of Illinois. They are sharing our story and profile with expectant mothers online and in person. We are praying that we enter Step Three, finding a match, soon.

OUR NEED
UPDATED: Angel Adoption says that the average cost of adoption could be as much as $25,000. After the initial investment of nearly $1,000 for the Home Study and $16,200 to hire Angel we can expect the following expenses:

• $1,500+ Birthmother expense assistance
• $3,000+ for Medical and Legal fees (which vary)
• Travel expenses (the baby could be born anywhere in the continental US)
