Jase Winner Shooting Sports 2017

“The ladder of success is best climbed by stepping on the rungs of opportunity” Ayn Rand.

I may be 13 years old but it is not often that I let opportunities pass me by.  I have been fortunate because of the opportunities and exposures I have had.  I have medaled in Brazilian Jui Jitsu and both league and school wrestling, I am a Star ranked Boy Scout of America and I’m a member of the National Junior Honor Society.  I am a competitive Trap and Skeet shooter with both Scholastic Clay Targets Program and with 4H Shooting Sports.  I have literally climbed mountains and have shared a story or two with my dad’s friends who have conquered far greater odds in combat that most people will experience in their entire lives.  All that is important because I’ve learned from a young age what it means to work hard and play hard because the benefits are worth the end reward.

My goal is to train with the best to eventually be the best and in doing do to be the youngest person ever to win the 3-Gun Nationals. My short term goal in 2017 is to train with Steve Fisher of Sentinel Concepts, Erik Utrecht of Michigan Defensive Firearms Institute and Bill Blowers of Tap-Rack-Tactical in addition to attending the MGM Targets Junior Camps in 3-Gun and Pistol.  This is a big undertaking, especially considering I will also be attending Boy Scout camp and a summer wrestling tournament. Big undertaking or not, I know I can do it if I put forth the effort and have support.

Unfortunately this goal of shooting and training is an expensive one, because ammunition isn’t cheap, cheap gear isn’t worth its price and travel/ registration/ ammunition costs can sometimes bleed my parents dry $$$.

If you choose to support me, thank you.  Thank you for having the faith and confidence in me to not only venture forward in pursuit of my goals, but for having the faith and confidence in me that I will properly represent responsible gun owners both young and old.  Though I have a lot of personal goals ahead of me, one of the most important it to present a positive image of firearms and be a role model for others kids.

I may want to win at the 3-Gun Nationals, but more importantly to me is making a positive impact on others along the way.  I want to influence kids my age and show them that there are far better ways to spend your time, energy and parents money that sitting in front of a game system, chasing your phone screen around or getting into trouble.  I want to show the “negative Nancy” anti-gun crowd what it looks like to be a responsible gun owner and shooting sports athlete…  Maybe even make a positive impact and turn a few of the Anti-2nd Amendment crowd into fans of mine or other shooters.  I want to train with the best so I can compete against the best so someday I can be the best.

4+ years from now when the smoke clears from the range and I am heading off to ROTC in college I want to know that I gave it my all.  And when I am in college, nose in the books, and my eye on the prize (US Air Force commission as a Special Tactics Officer), I want to be able to spend my free time honing the skills that I harnessed in my youth.

Shooting sports and especially 3-Gun are not at all cheap.  I have no doubts my parents bank account would have preferred an interests in PingPong (which I do love).  Ammunition alone for a year runs around $7,000 for 12-guage skeet/slugs/Buckshot, 124gr 9mm and 55gr 5.56mm rounds.  Add the travel cost and registration fees and I am told this suddenly gets really expensive really quickly.  Sadly that only begins to touch on the costs because then there are range fees, course fees with various instructors, additional match fees and firearms maintenance.  Money... this is why we have built this GoFundMe to help support my shooting sports endeavors.

As I said before… If you choose to support me and my pursuit of my goals, thank you.  I promise I will work hard, train often and do my absolute best to ensure that the money you donated to me is well spent.

(And on the off chance any of you are wondering.. yes, I would love to be a sponsored shooter and further represent not only the industry but their customers who support and drive them to be better so that we as Americans can all be better people and firearms enthusiasts)

Each of you who makes a donation will recieve a personal email from me... It's the least I can do to say thank you for your investment in my dreams and support of them.

Thank you for your support and endorsement,
