On October 13th, 2014 my nephew Jase Ryan Hanna choked on a bug which left him lifeless on
They called 911 and Jase was rushed to the hospital where they resesitated him and finally got his heart beating again. He was then rushed to Childrens Medical Center of Dallas where they had to perform surgery to remove the bug that was blocking his lung. He then was put in ICU where he remained for over 2 weeks and was closely monitored.. At that time the Drs still werent for sure he was going to make it or not. But he is a little fighter and kept hanging on. He had MRIs, CT Scans, and XRays that came back with bad news the xrays showed that his right lung was deflating, the CT Scans showed that he was having seizures, and MRI results came back that Jase has permanent brain damage that affects his movement, motor skills, and sight. He is now 100% blind which could change but they say is not likely. Also we were given the devastaing news that he probably wouldnt live past 20 years which we can only leave in Gods hands. He did pass his hearing test with flying colors which is amazing so we know he can hear us talk to him. Jase fought with all his heart and is now home with his family. We couldnt be more thankful that he is alive and now we just take things day by day! Jase is on several medications that he takes multiple times daily and a strict feeding schedule that he gets thru his feeding tube. This tragic accident has left my sister Shanla and her husband Ryan with some unexpected expenses also Shanla is now a full time stay at home mom. Jase does have insurance that will cover most but not all of the things he will need. I am trying to make sure they have any help that they may need.
