My name is Jamaal H.M. Tolbert and I have an opportunity to attend my first artist residency in Ghana. I plan on staying for two weeks and a few days. I will be leaving on July 28th, 2016 and return August 16th. I am hoping to get the plane ticket this month in MAY. So far I have $900 saved and need $2,000 to cover the plane ticket, visa and travel insurance. The remainder of the money will be used to purchase materials in Ghana to create artwork. I will be working with african textile prints and other found objects. I know it is hard times for everyone but if you can share this page or donate $5 dollars it will help me out very much.
