As one of twelve Student Ambassadors for the College Bound, Inc. program, Jalen Michael Jones has been presented the esteemed honor of experiencing something that most of us will only dream of....
He will be representing his program, his family and all that love and support him on an International Study Tour to the rich and beautiful country of Ghana and the historically cultured city of Amsterdam!!!!
Jalen will participate in the Study Abroad Program from November 21, 2013 to December 3, 2013, where he will travel through Ghana to the Netherlands. While in Ghana, Jalen will have the opportunity to visit cultural and historical sites including schools, an Ashanti village, the home of WEB DuBois, the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and slave castles at the Elmina and Cape Coast. In Amsterdam, the plans are to visit the US Consulate and the home of Anne Frank. While on this trip Jalen will capture these moments by journaling daily, blogging about his excursion and taking photographs to share.
This experience will allow Jalen to develop an international perspective prior to college that will stay with him for a lifetime....
