Jakiya's Volunteer Trip to Africa!

In just 24 short years I have had the opportunity to do so many great things in life that I never thought I would be able to do. Moving to New York, working for the #1 beauty company in the world, and traveling parts of the world to experience new cultures. I have been so blessed and with the support of GOD, my friends and family have been able to afford these opportunities. I strongly believe in following your dreams and doing what God has called me to do as he has bigger dreams for me than I can even imagine.
Therefore, in February of 2014 I am venturing to Tanzania, Africa for a volunteer trip of a life time. For 3 weeks, I will be working with the local children,I will be involved in activities such as teaching children, young adults, working with people affected by HIV/AIDS, visiting local orphanages and assisting in women empowerment groups, among many other interesting things! I am a huge advocate of not letting your talents go to waste and sharing them with others. This trip means so much to me as it will allow me the opportunity to not only travel to a third world country but, to gain a life changing experience. Education is extremely important to me and I believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn, travel and explore not only the world we live in, but the worlds that we know less about and would love for you to help me do so!
International Volunteer Head Quarters (IVHQ) is the high quality, affordable volunteer organization that I will be a part of while going abroad. However, program fees, vaccines, permits, flights etc. are still a factor and can become extremely costly. I have set a personal goal to raise $4,000 by February 15th, my departure date. Below is a breakout of costs for the trip (these are close estimates). As I have already saved and put a lot of my own money towards this trip, I would love to have your monetary support.
