Jack just wants to 'be'

We are raising money to aid us in supporting our son with his ever changing medical needs, Jack is 5 yrs old and last year he was diagnosed with duchennes muscular dystrophy; a progressive muscle wasting condition, the treatment is limited and there is no cure. It is 100% fatal. Sufferers lose the ability to walk before their teens, life expectancy is between mid to late 20's; although many don't survive childhood/teens due to heart/lung failure and the endless list of medical complications. Every day we fight a battle we will never win, resulting in the loss of our son. We are raising money to adapt and make alterations to our house to ensure it is wheelchair friendly; we hope to provide Jack with the medical care and equipment that he will need, and an accessible home where we can help Jack as a family to be as independent for as long as possible. We have a small time frame to extend and adapt our home as Jack a rare genetic reading, resulting in a severe form of Duchennes. He is already in a wheelchair part time and already struggles with everyday tasks. It is estimated that within the next year he will lose his ability to climb the stairs. Jack is a gorgeous, cheeky and forever optimistic little boy, who never fails to brighten our days, and as a family all we long for is to provide him with the best life and home possible. We know times are are hard and many struggle financially; we are asking for any donation possible, no matter how small, we appreciate everyone's support. Thank you for taking the time to read this and considering donating.
