Please Help Jack get Assistance Dog

Donation protected
We are excited to announce that Jack, my awesome 15 year old son, has been qualified to be placed with an assistance dog! Jack has an intellectual disabilty as well as extreme anxiety and Autism.  As Jack transitions into an adult we are hopeful that the dog will help him through panic attacks and fear, as well as comfort him and offer friendship.

The process is not cheap! The donation requirement is $9,000 plus there will be travel fees etc. so therefore we are setting his GOFUNDME at $9,500.

Please donate if you can! Any amount is so very appreciated. I do not like asking folks for money but I feel this is such a great cause. If you can not donate thanks for reading! Remember that next time you see someone in a store, or doctors office, or even a restaurant with a true service dog, they really do need it and it took a long road for them to get there! :) Hoping to reach our goal! Thanks for helping if you can!

Assistance Dogs provide assistance to children and teenagers on the autism spectrum in order to increase their independence. They decrease reliance on their parents and other adults for activities of regular daily living. Types of specialized training include grounding and deep pressure therapy during a meltdown or panic attack, or in an overstimulating environment, finding help in an emergency type situation, interrupting self harming behaviors, providing counterbalance for motor control issues, and waking up during night terrors or nightmares, as well as doing other tasks can be taught as needed.
