Rentable Hotspots for James River High School

Hello! We are Sophie Azula and Kate Morris, students in the Leadership and International Relations specialty center at James River High School.

In efforts to bridge the digital divide at James River, we have chosen to introduce 10 portable Wifi hotspots into the school library. These hotspots, also called “Kajeet SmartSpots”, will be available to all JRHS students to checkout of the library this school year.

Our goal is to benefit students that do not have the Internet available within their own homes. We hope to give all James River students the oppurtunity to complete homework online by pairing Chromebooks with these portable hotspots.

In order to see this change within our own school, we need your help with fundraising for the hotspots! Any donations, small or large, is greatly appreciated!

We also would love for you to join us at our Auction Night in the James River Library on November 7th from 6:00-8:00. We will have baskets of goods donated by local businesses for guests to bid on,  along with complimentary food and music. Thank you for visiting our page!
