Student Ambassador Trip To Australia

We are sophomore and junior students in the Math, Engineering, Technology and Science Program at Olympic High School. We have been selected to become People to People Student Ambassadors to Australia in the summer of 2013. People to People is an organization with a mission to create global citizens through education and exchange. It was started in 1956 by President Eisenhower who had a strong desire to promote world peace. The People to People organization believes that global citizens are prepared for an interconnected world.
We are asking for your help to join a delegation of students our age on a 17 day educational program. The curriculum will teach us about the history, culture, and people of the region. We will be going backstage at the Sydney Opera House, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef with marine biologists and working alongside naturalist to help protect a delicate wetland environment. We will be led by experienced teachers. The focus of the program is: Adventure, Architecture, Art, Culture, Geography, Geology, Marine Biology, Political History, Regional History and Sustainability.
