<div>Jews for Israeli-Palestinean Peace (JIPF) is a Swedish non-profit organisation which has been working for a sustainable peace since 1982.

<div>Given the huge, urgent need for humanitarian aid for Gaza, we are making a fund-raisingappeal for CLEAN SHELTER (<a href="https://www.cleanshelter.org" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.cleanshelter.org</a>) , a non-profit organization,
</div>
<div>registered and based in Germany. Living conditions for Gaza’s the two and a half million inhabitants are disastrous. The brutal
</div>
<div>war waged by Israel is described as genocide by human rights organisations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. More than 40 000 people have been killed, a large
</div>
<div>proportion of the area’s housing has been destroyed, schools and hospitals have been obliterated. Hundreds of thousands of Gazans have been forced to leave their homes, many of them several times. The cease-fire makes it possible to bring in aid to Gaza’s civilian
</div>
<div>population, suffering from cold and hunger, lacking health care, sanitation and clean water. Children, women, the elderly and disabled are most vulnerable.
</div>

<div>The organisation Clean Shelter works to alleviate the suffering caused by displacement. It was founded by two women, Seba Abu-Daqa and Tom Kellner, one Palestinian and one Israeli.
</div>
<div>Clean Shelter is funded by donations and has built two teams of volunteers, one in Northern and one in Southern Gaza and cooperates with local NGOs. 
</div>

<div>Among the things they have done are:
</div>
<div> *A desalination facility driven by solar energy which provides 250 households with clean water.
</div>
<div> *Purchase of 20 cubic metres of water per day from May to October and delivered to 2000 households.
</div>
<div> *Construction of more than 1000 tents, toilets and community structures such as kitchens and showers.
</div>

<div>At the moment they work with:
</div>
<div>  *Expansion of work in Northern Gaza, provision of sanitation and clean water.
</div>
<div> *Covering and reinforcing hundreds of tents, for protection against heavy rains.
</div>
<div> *Repairing school structures.
</div>
<div> *Providing children’s winter jackets and blankets. 1000 of each have already been delivered to Gaza and will be distributed to families in Al-Mawasi.
</div>
<div> *Repairing Al-Mawasi's Sewage System addressing critical sanitation and health concerns for the community.
</div>
