Bennett's Medical Fund

Hi, I'm Jason Bennett. I'm a history professor and I help run anime conventions in my spare time. Sadly, I also have a heart problem known as atrial fibrillation. I don't qualify for insurance at work and I can't afford it on my own (part time work is still work, but it has its limitations).  I'm trying to raise funds for a procedure called catheter ablation that could well save my life. As it is, the afib has led to secondary problems like strokes and partial cardiac failure. One surgery and post op care can fix it all. For that, I need your help.

And I'm not the only professor in this boat. About 2/3 of us are adjuncts (part time) these days and a sad number of us are on food stamps or other assistance because we just can't make enough to make ends meet. I have enough for food and housing, but not enough for this life-saving procedure.

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated and can help me keep teaching history to the leaders of tomorrow.
