My Volunteer trip to Cambodia

Welcome to my GoFundMe campaign! As many of you know, and for those who may not know me, my name is Jordan and I am from Estevan, SK. I am currently in my 3rd year of Business Administration at the University of Regina. I have a passion for traveling and putting smiles on peoples faces! In May 2016, I ventured to Peru and had the time of my life. I spent just over two weeks in the area volunteering and exploring in the sacred valley.
After a long and strenuous week of work, my group and I, alongside some of the locals had turned this barebones hut-
-into a beautiful little dining hall for the village!
This could not have been done without the support I received from everyone who donated and shared my posts last year so thank you to everyone who made my first volunteer trip possible!

I am now excited to announce that I am looking forward to my next trip! I will be traveling to South East Asia in May! I will be heading to Cambodia to meet with my Reach Out Volunteers group. While there, we will be building infrastructure for a village including new homes for poor families or classrooms for impoverished schools. I will also be travelling in thailand by myself and plan on devoting a few days to volunteer at an elepahnt sanctuary. There I will be helping rehabilitate elephants that were tortured and abused in the illegal logging, poaching, and tourism industies.

Volunteering abroad is not free! It is very hard to afford school and be able to do this as well, so I created this GoFundMe. My goal is to raise the amount of my program fees to offset my costs and make this trip a little more affordable for me! My $3000 goal is a combination of both the progam fees ($1800) and an estimate of flights ($1200).
By donating, YOU are feeding families who otherwise can't afford it, building them homes, providing education, and making a huge difference in their lives! Every cent raised goes towards the above costs. Program fees include building materials, hiring local tradesmen, guides, accomodations, meals, and donations for the local community (including food and gifts for children), etc. Any extra will be put into The Reach Out Volunteers Charity which currently provides meals, education, and shelter to children and families in South Africa and Cambodia.
